    Srdjan Krco

    CEO, DunavNET

    DunavNET (www.dunavnet.eu), a company focusing on design of novel IoT-based smart city solutions. Previously, for 8 years he held a number of positions with Ericsson (Senior Research Engineer, System Manager, Project Manager) and has worked in and managed a number of product development and research projects, focusing on M2M, Internet of Things and their application in various domains including the smart cities. Srdjan participated in numerous FP7 projects (SocIoTal, IoT Lab, Citi-sense, SENSEI, SmartSantander, IOT-i, Exalted, LOLA, Hobnet etc.). He is one of the founders of the International IoT Forum (www.iot-forum.eu), an organization promoting IoT globally. Srdjan is a regular speaker at IoT related conferences and events. He published more than 50 papers at international conferences and journals as well as more than a dozen patents. In 2007, Institute of Engineers of Ireland has awarded him the Innovation engineer of the Year Award.

    Boris Pokric

    CTO and Co-Founder, DunavNET

    Boris Pokric holds a PhD degree from the Leeds Metropolitan University, UK, in the area of artificial intelligence and machine vision. He has been working on number of academic and industrial projects focused on the sensor design and advanced signal processing of sensor data, including the role of a R&D manager developing next generation video compression technology for the 2.5 and 3G mobile phone networks. Boris has presented his work at a number of international conferences and published his novel work in the leading international journals. He is currently acting as a technical director and co-founder at DunavNET. His research interests are in the areas of M2M, future internet and IoT and he is engaged across multiple activities within the company such as project co-ordination and technical architecture within the product development and research and development departments.

    Istvan Papp

    Head of Advanced Research, RT-RK

    Istvan Papp received B.S., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, in 1998, 2001, and 2009 respectively. He is an assistant professor at the ECE Department, University of Novi Sad, and engaged in delivering real-time embedded solutions at the RT-RK Institute for Computer Based Systems. Also leads the advanced research department in the company. His research interest is related to embedded systems, home automation and software solution delivery.

    BSc Silvia Šušnjević is a Head of M2M, Telekom Srbija. Of specific competence of her is more than 12 years’ experience in Telco business, from IT&ICT to R&D. This includes significant competence both as project manager and expert in mobile services development, integration, implementation and payment solutions.

    Jürgen Kappenmann

    IT Consultant

    Jürgen works as legal counsel, business and development consultant on international projects for multinational companies in different industries and public sector alike. His expertise comprises IT, business process and project management, start-up support and EU affairs. Over the years Jürgen worked closely with all major ICT and start-up stakeholders in Serbia gathering a profound understanding of the industry which is translated into several publications on ICT and EU affairs. Shuttling between his Serbian and native German residence he helps to connect industries in both regions.

    Rob van Kranenburg wrote The Internet of Things. A critique of ambient technology and the all-seeing network of RFID, Network Notebooks 02, Institute of Network Cultures. He is co-founder of bricolabs and the founder of Council. Together with Christian Nold he published Situated Technologies Pamphlets 8: The Internet of People for a Post-Oil World. He currently works as Community Manager at the EU Project Sociotal.He is consultant to IoT China, Shanghai 2014.

    Annika Sällström

    General Business Manager, Centre for Distance-Spanning Technology

    BSc Annika Sällström (born 1966) is a general business manager at Centre for Distance-Spanning Technology at Luleå  University of Technology in Sweden. Of specific competence of her is more than 10 years’ experience in user-driven innovation processes as responsible of the Botnia Living Lab. This includes significant competence both as project manager and user-expert in real-life piloting of Future Internet innovations involving users in the different RDI phases from early need-finding, concept evaluation and large-scale trials. Her team has performed more than 100 user-studies and real-life trials since it start (2001) in several domains including application areas such as: mobile marketing, traffic information, energy saving, sports and culture, e-democracy and security.

    Sébastien Ziegler

    Director, Mandat International - Vice-Chair, IEEE Comsoc Internet of Things - Founder and Board member, IoT Forum - Coordinator, IoT6 and IoT Lab European research projects

    Sébastien Ziegler has coordinated a large number of technological and non-technological projects, including the IoT6 and IoT Lab European research projects. He has a MBA in international administration (HEC Geneva), a Master in Environment, and is graduated in International Relations (IHEI), with complementary executive education at Harvard (HBS), Stanford University, UC Berkeley and EPFL. He is Vice-Chair of the IEEE IoT Subcommittee (IEEE ComSoc) and Board member of the IoT Forum.
