Vojvodina Metal Cluster is a business association for improving metal sector competitiveness in Vojvodina. It gathers 116 members at presence (92 are SMEs and 24 are institutional supporters). VMC members employ 6500+ workers, have 300+ billion EUR of annual income (where 80+ billion EUR are export originated) and 72% of VMC’s SME members possess ISO certificate.
VMC is organized in four sectors/centers: 1.Business support center; 2.Center for Innovations and technology transfer; 3.Center for Project Development, and 4.Education Center.
The most important products and services of VMC's members are in the following areas: metal constructions and metal parts, systems for water supply, milking machines, agricultural machinery, special-purpose industrial machines, casting, forging and pressing, etc.
VMC designed and established following categories of services for members, each containing number of services:
* Access to detail database of enterprises and experts and available workforce;
* Internationalization - Assistance in establishing business connections with other cluster members and other local and international companies, new exporting business opportunities and closing business deals;
* Legal and business support services (procurement, customs, tax issues, international legislation, Provision of processing equipment, etc.);
* Engaging experts of different profiles in quality management system, information technology, finance (financial issues related to international contract, tax regulations, standards etc.);
* Development of technology, production, organizational and management structure (researches, adjusting technology in use towards current market demands, introducing necessary changes in organizational and management structure in order to correspond to new business opportunities);
* Preparation of VMC projects targeted improving and expanding services to members, and increasing capacity of VMC members to prepare project and obtain available EU and other donors funding;
* Non formal education – various vocation trainings (CNC operator, welders, locksmiths, etc.);
* Public advocacy and contribution to public policy related to export legislation, national support measures to SMEs, etc.
VMC has obtained ISO 9001 certificate in 2013. VMC has been awarded Bronze Label Certificate by European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis and European Cluster Excellence Initiative and was 3rd classified in the category 'concluded projects' by European Project Association.
